I am about to take off for Central America, but I wanted to share two
flickr sets with the group before I leave.
The first is a ferrocement / papercrete gate that is finally done.
This took a surprising amount of time (probably 400 hours) even
though it is only 40' long. It was my first use of complex papercrete
mix utilizing prickly pear cactus, lime, micro silica sand, and
portland.
The second is a ferrocement / papercrete dome which has been going up
at a incredible rate. We are at less than 120 hours of labor after
three weeks in the most current photos.
