[papercreters] Newbie

Hello,

My name is Randy, and I'm in Tucson, AZ. My intention is to sell my
current home, downsize, simplify, and build a smaller home with an even
smaller portion of my equity. Yes, I qualify as cheap.

I have found papercrete to be the most intriguing material I have yet
seen. I was always fond of adobe, but just the thought of all those
heavy blocks hurts my back. I considered shipping containers, but
insulation issues seem to offset the benefits of recycling the
containers. Especially here in the desert.

I see that the most ambitious of you are working on making papercrete
an accepted part of the building codes. If you could be so kind as to
make that happen before my groundbreaking, I would be terribly
grateful. ;o)

I think there is a recessive homebuilding gene that runs in my family.
My oldest brother self-built his own home (conventional construction)
at the same time he was busy with the hardware store he had just
bought. He was also in law school at the time and busy raising his five
kids in a two bedroom trailer on the job site.

I am nowhere close to being that ambitious.

But I am looking forward to getting to know you all.

Randy
