[papercreters] Found book on hybrid adobe but....

Found book on hybrid adobe but....
++++++++++++

I have already told Connie about the book. the steps on the cover were
NOT built by the Hybrid Adobe author, BUT the credit should be given to
Michael Collins- his site is:

www.biotectures.com

Michael is a
crazy creative artist, and the hybrid adobe guy literally gave no
credit to anyone for their work. Michael has built tall walls, and
standing slabs, firepits, bench seats, and much more, he used draped
burlap to make a 500+ foot long running fence, sprayed with
papercrete- high in cement- for little cost. see pics at his website

So I do not recommend that booklet. as it is just a reshash of all the
basic old papercrete info. Better to get the Solberg book- Papercrete
& paper Adobe with solid info.

some articles on using other fibers:

Calling papercrete by any other name does not equal "invention" or
superior formulation. The work of Barry Fuller at

www.livinginpaper.com

with CURENT formulas and info. worth the
investment in his DVDS, and reports for serious builders.

Also I have several articles posted on using various fibers, chopped
shrubbery ( Agstone) sawdust, and others can work great. I insulated
the studio walls of my outdoor workshop with my own mix of redwood
sawdust, clay, lime, and almost no sand to keep it light and fluffy.
Bolcks can be cast in the sunshne to cure, or wet plaster applied over
dry mix, infill of semidamp mix also works.

If you are in Canada, or have access to scrap wood/small trees that
can be chopped to woodchips , and or sawdust then use that. Lime &
clay mix works well with the sugars in sawdust and sets up great..

Use whatcha got. there is plenty of free info online now, and in
these archives too.
