I have to wonder if they have tapped off that aquifer for some city,
like Las Vegas is trying to do in the Nye Valley and into Utah.
:::sigh::: Fortunately the ranchers in that area are wise to them and
so far won't give up their water rights... Boy could I say a great deal
about "making the deserts bloom" -- but that's off topic for here so I
won't even jump up on my soapbox...
We have all kinds of good water here, only 50 to 75 feet down. Our well
has never even offered to dry up, even in a drought year like this one.
