First of all Thank you for pointing out the danger of the vehicle driven
papercrete mixer. I have suffered equipment failures of many types having
worked in the construction, fishing, equipment operation, and mechanics,
most of my life.
Second I think a smaller rotating mixer blade that can move about the mixing
tank somewhat like a dough mixer would take far less energy and danger.
Even then it is still dangerous as anyone that has operated even a Hole Hog
gear drill can testify.
The tow behind mixer design seems much safer than the stationary version but
in instances where this can't be utilized I'd suggest something much
different.
Perhaps the use of a power steering pump and hydraulic motor drive with a
spring loaded return control lever for operating it. I have mounted an
electric clutch from an automotive air-conditioning pump mounted on a power
steering pump with a spring loaded electrical switch to activate the clutch.
Not the easiest way but cheap if you have access to junk vehicles.
I do like the pressure washer trick I've seen in a recent post.
My few experiments indicate soaking before mixing greatly reduces later
mixing effort.
Thanks again
