Re: [papercreters] Is this papercreters group still active?

We had an epic failure due to early rains, so for now, we are not using papercrete, but we will be back at it, one of these years.  We are in Texas,

That is very true. We continue to collect cardboard as well. Have acquired a rear end to use and a old, large propane tank we are planning to use as the tank for our mixer. Just need to get time and some sort of shop to work in to build it. 3 ft of snow and -11 makes it kinda hard to work on for now.

[papercreters] It may be people want to work on something but not write about it. I finished a 7 foot by 60 foot sound stopping wall. It works extremely well. I live in odem on hwy 77 . Built wall to stop hwy noise. I plan on building a home of PC and may add on to garage to make rental property soon. I have molds n poured lowest two feet above that had poured 2 by8 ft panels then screwed them on 4 by 4 post then shot with PC stucco [2 Attachments]

Re: [papercreters] Is this papercreters group still active?

Yes, I have seen some of that too. Had been looking for information on using papercrete in the far north. Lots of snow and well below freezing regularly. No help. Guess those of us that are new are on our own. I talked to a few of the members years ago but no one really who had tried it in this kind of weather. A few have, but could never make contact with them to see if it held up.

Good luck on your ventures into papercrete. I know there was a lot of information in the old posts.

Agreed.  Building with papercrete appears to be dying.  Crafting with papercrete is on the rise.
