No treated wood would ever be allowed in my home, I already have MCS, I
don't need more bad exposures. Maybe other people can live with that,
but I know I can't. As for treated wood, in the ground, it lasts about
3 years here. I have watched people try to use it.

Most of the roofs we do are shed roofs, at least on small buildings as
they are better for water catchment. My house will have a modified
gable, in that it is a clerestory roof, facing east. This will allow
natural light in, without allowing heat. Have you ever put a screw in
papercrete or fidobe? The hold really well. With the cables, it holds
just fine.
