[papercreters] cardboard crete & PC roofing

Hi all.. on using Bob the Builder's idea on Cardboard-- remember Jack
Bays back in the 1930s invented his version of papercrete, using
shredded cardboard, not paper, and he then added the asphalt emulsion
to waterproof it, and wound up with an amazing product.

there is so much clean cardboard available ( even tho many places
recycle theirs) but it is still easy to get, and test.

Second. crazy artist Mike Collins from www.biotectures.com built an
entire shed with just 5' lengths of salvaged wood planks ( talk about
a "looks like pick up sticks" appearance inside!) but he used what
he had, sorta a lopsided geodesic dome-

BUT he covered the shed roof with old carpet, it was magical looking
after he applied the papercrete ( higher cement) and Rub-R-Slate (
Jack Bays roof mix with asphalt emulsion* in it)

He used cement pigments to drizzle on a colorful mix, and on the
side of the roof is also sculpted a large dragon head, like one of
those rainspouts in the UK with mythical animals on them. emailme
for a pic off list.

* AE is non toxic, produced from teh raw tar that comes from the
ground, and has just water and bentonite clay to hold it in jelly-like
suspension. I love it and use it for many thiongs, like replacing tar
paper, or coating bottoms of palletts, etc. Do not confuse with
asbestos.
